Making Life Known
About Us
MLK – Making Life Known was created from a vision of hope, beauty, and second chances. Founded by two Black women passionate about community upliftment, MLK exists to provide safe, dignified, and thoughtfully designed independent living homes for adults who are seeking stability, peace, and a fresh start.
We understand that housing is more than just a roof — it is the foundation from which people rebuild their confidence, rediscover their purpose, and follow their dreams. Too often, individuals transitioning through life’s challenges are offered housing that feels temporary, institutional, or uninspiring. MLK was created to change that experience.
Our homes are intentionally designed to feel warm, welcoming, and elevated. Every MLK house blends modern comfort with homey charm and urban sophistication, offering residents a space they are proud to live in. From Serenity House’s peaceful tropical-inspired atmosphere to Haven House’s luxury, cozy elegance, each property is crafted to support rest, renewal, and growth.
MLK provides independent shared living environments for adults who can manage their daily lives while benefiting from a supportive and respectful community setting. While residents maintain their independence, they are never made to feel alone. Our homes foster connection, mutual respect, and a sense of belonging — because healing and growth happen best in safe spaces.

Mission
Our mission is to make life known by providing safe, beautiful, and dignified housing for adults seeking stability and renewal. We are committed to creating shared living homes that honor independence, restore confidence, and encourage every resident to follow their dream.
Vision
We envision a network of MLK homes across communities, each one serving as a beacon of hope and opportunity. As we grow, we aim to partner with local organizations, churches, and community programs to expand access to safe housing and supportive resources. Our long-term vision is to build not only homes, but pathways — spaces where people can rebuild, belong, and rise.
